Capability Acceleration Consulting was formed in January, 2020, inspired by the realization that small and mid-size companies want quality talent solutions and often cannot afford to invest in full-time Talent and Organization Development leaders with the experience to build them. Capability Acceleration Consulting provides a great solution to address this gap. We are a small firm that delivers services directly and partners with other small, highly specialized consulting groups.

Debbie Sehulster, owner and principal consultant has 25+ years of experience working in Fortune 500 companies in the energy, manufacturing and telecom industries. She has held numerous Director Level roles in Talent Management and Organizational Development and has held many HR Business Partner and project management roles over the years (manager - director level). Debbie has significant experience working in complex, global organizations and has completed 3 international assignments in Asia and has experience supporting Europe and the Latin America region. She also spent a year living in Brazil. In her Fortune 500 experience, she traveled regularly and worked with colleagues all over the world and has held several roles with global accountability.

Debbie has deep expertise in performance management, employee engagement, change management, talent and succession management, blended learning solutions, organization design, organization and team effectiveness and information gathering techniques. She stays up to speed on HR trends and best practices and has a long track record of creating leading-edge, innovative talent solutions that are practical for any business.

Debbie is a regular speaker at conferences on various talent management and organization development topics. She served on a performance management panel presenting at Bersin by Deloitte’s IMPACT conference in 2018 and co-presented her previous company’s performance management approach at the Gartner-Evanta CHRO conference in 2017. Debbie also presented her approach to building HR capability at the Bersin by Deloitte IMPACT conference in 2015. This innovative approach was also featured in Deloitte’s annual Human Capital Trends report in 2014. She was also a keynote speaker at SuccessFactors’ Success Connect conference in 2007. Debbie has also presented as a guest speaker on Performance Management and Employee Engagement at Texas A&M University and Change Management at the University of Minnesota.

Debbie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Miami University and a Master of Labor and Human Resources degree from the Ohio State University. Debbie is also SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified. She is also a member of SHRM.
